Master of Ceremonies

Douglas Webster has a Masters degree in Fine Art and was the director of a contemporary fine art gallery, curator and art writer for twenty years in Scottsdale, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico before moving to Kona in 1997. Here he continues to write and publish articles, build and develop websites, and operate a charter boat service while conducting research on interspecies communication with the most sublime species of mammals, the Cetaceans. For the past eight years he has worked as a facilitator with, in addition to others, Joan Ocean's Dolphin Connection International seminars, that bring education and understanding to the public at large about the ocean swimming dolphins and whales.

He is also the creator and talk-show internet radio host for www.dolphinville.com/radio. In 2005 he became a certified US Coast Guard Captain and now regularly operates a charter boat service (www.anelanaia.com) that takes people to interact with dolphins and whales on the Kona coast. Douglas was the MC for the Dolphin and ET Conference held last year as a prequel to this event.
